Timber Frame homes are an old world form of construction that sets the standard for elegance and are truly a work of art. The hand hewn timbers form the frame of the building and traditional framing materials or Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are used between the timbers. Using only the finest Douglas Fir or Western Red Cedar the Timber Frame is created with mortise and tenon joinery and hard wood pegs called trunnels to secure the joints.
Timber Frame Posts and Trusses can be added to conventionally framed homes as accent pieces at entry or in a Great Room to add architectural detail.
