Draw-Knife Finish with Skip-Peel:
The Skip-Peel look is achieved by leaving a random pattern of cambium layer on the surface of the logs during the peeling process.

Our unique "Latewood" finish:
"Latewood" is the newest stratum in the growth ring of a tree. This resilient outer skin, generated each season, is just below the cambium layer. With Latewood timber, we remove the bark and cambium with high pressure water. The resulting smooth log surface is visually appealing and showcases the natural beauty of the wood's ripples, knots, burls and bends. Latewood timber must be carefully harvested. From felling the tree to on-site delivery, a great deal of effort is committed to securing undamaged logs. And because Latewood material can only be harvested exclusively from October to May, a limited supply is available each year. Trees being used for the Draw-Knife Finish do not require such specialized harvesting.
